(Posted Jan 18th, 2016): FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER we're  building a dance team to do choreo AND taking open submissions for it from people without experience!! Now's your chance to get in with Me'lanie Talent!

 

 Me'lanie Talent is looking to build a combined GoGo/ party motivator/ dance team for wholesome, classy events (around Portland metro). Taking submissions for dancers to create a core dance group/team, ASAP. Learning choreo once group is selected is mandatory. MUST RESIDE in Portland, OR metro area, able to commit to learning jazz/hip-hop choreo & ongoing performances with the group. Our events will mostly be mainstream top 40 type music. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY & follow instructions, this is very detailed.

 

Strongly prefer those with training & experience however will now work w/ overall awesome people that don't have paid experience yet but are talented quick learners who can learn choreo too.

Performances/gigs will usually be on weekends. Learning choreo to a couple songs will be required for these events, doing those same routines at most events as our basic show package.

 

Pay: Paid by Check; Competitive & DOE (experienced dancers will have at least the same hourly rate at Portland club GoGo's)

 

Age requirement: prefer min 21 yrs, will consider some 18-20 but most events require 21 & up.

 

Need to be: attractive, in shape enough to wear dance apparel, classy, able to appear clean cut, conservative, wholesome, act appropriately in professional settings w/ business pros & family audiences,  have good personal hygiene. This is for classy, conservative, corporate, wholesome & family friendly events. No alternative looks, wild hair or excessive body mods. Note~ provided standard uniforms will be tight/dance fit, full leg pants & tops that cover the midriff, likely vests. Please inquire if you have tats on chest & arms.

 

Also MUST be: APPROACHABLE, COACHABLE, DEDICATED, DEPENDABLE, FOLLOW DIRECTIONS, FRIENDLY, GOOD COMMUNICATOR, HARD WORKING, HONEST, OUTGOING (at gigs be an extrovert), PASSIONATE, PROFESSIONAL, RELIABLE, have RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION ( NO public transit to gigs), TEAM PLAYER, TRUSTWORTHY & have a GREAT ATTITUDE!!

2a. STATS:

Skills w/level of proficiency & training (beginner, intermediate, advanced/pro).

 

2b. Training

 

2c. Talents & traits (more what you're born able to do or your personality): like being able to be outgoing; rally shy people to get on dance floor.

 

2d. Interests (things you may not have any experience or training in but want to).

 

3. PHOTOS (do NOT want photoshopped so pro pix NOT necessary but only you/solo in photo & clearly, evenly lit, no hats or sunglasses etc):

 

3a. Headshot ( 1 or 2: One NOT heavy/stage makeup, how do you look with basic makeup & One glammed up pic if you have it).

 

3b. Full-body (3: front, side, back) in a dance apparel type outfit showing your physique.

 

4. VIDEO links: 1-3 mins each, solo/just you, well-lit, if you have it. Our events will mostly be mainstream top 40 type music so that music is best for videos if you can get it quickly.
